It has been a crazy month with the passing of my wife’s aunt. Then the in-laws got refused their visa because they did not have the paperwork for their extended stay in the United Stated during their first visit. The government wanted to make sure they paid the extended stay fee which they did but did not have the receipt on them. So rather than letting them provide the missing paperwork by fax they have to reschedule another interview and full trip to Shanghai. Again the government is wasteful and not consistent. During their first interview they did not have a copy of my wife’s initial visa to enter the US so they said just fax it to us and we will process your visa, now they made us pay another fee and expenses to get to Shanghai for another interview just to show them our receipt. Hopefully I got all the correct information this time and crossed all my tees and dotted the I’s. If they need money just ask for a donation!
China loves the World Cup and they have had many people going to the hospital from exhaustion watching too many games without sleep, food and toilet breaks. For example, our friends in China were up all night waiting to watch the games and were totally tired but did not want to miss any games. I love the World Cup and football (soccer) more than most US sports now (except ice hockey) with passionate fans and NO commercials during the games! I got my love for football by traveling around the world which is a perfect example what travel should do open up to new experiences which can last a life time.
Passionate for everything related to China travel.
