There are many arguments for a stronger currency with China’s currency but not for tourism. This article from the Forbes website has the China Currency at 6.15 versus the US dollar and when I first went to China in 2004 it was 8.15 which were great for me. It was 9 years ago this month when I first went to China and met my wife. Wow, the time has flown by so fast and the exchange rates have changed so much, but are still a good deal for tourist. If you eat and sleep like locals, try street food and stay at a Chinese brand hotel which normally includes a free breakfast. http://www.forbes.com/sites/kenrapoza/2013/05/04/chinas-currency-contains-gains-on-dollar/?partner=yahootix.
