The Nanjing Massacre is a must see when visiting Nanjing China. Remembrance happens every December 13th which was the start of the massacre in 1937. This memorial should be visited by any traveler while in Nanjing, China. We have visited this memorial every time we have a new visitor to Nanjing. It is not a full day trip to the memorial so we should suggest plan on visiting other sights in Nanjing on the west side of Nanjing. This is an important event in China’s history because this is the main issue of conflict between China and Japan. http://travel.cnn.com/house-horror-visit-nanjing-massacre-memorial-museum-921921?hpt=travel_hp_blogroll

Great news for travelers to and from China and the United States with the new 10 year visa agreement. Now visas for both countries are good for 10 years back and forth as many times per the allowed time in country. When I first heard the news I thought it was only for the Chinese but when I looked to get a new visa to China for me it displayed 10 years with multi entries. This is perfect for my in-laws from China because it is a major procedure for them to travel to the US consulate for the visa requirements. I read that the first week in China they processed 8000 visas in 1 week at the US consulate. It also shows that the power of the Chinese spending money for tourism which is the highest in the world, it only makes sense to make it easier and frequent. It works perfect for me and will save me $2500 with visa fees over a 10 year period. Travel smart and safe. |
